CONGRATULATIONS! What a cutie!
Let’s just hope Spike has his MOTHER’S sense of timing and delivery… though I would guess his first 2000 or so diaper-loads will seem more like an impression of Daddy’s comedy.

Hurray! That is a cute wee nipper. Doesn’t look much like Ben, though. Get him to Panamint. We’ll sort it all out. Wowsers, thanks for the happy start to the day, folks, and congratulations to boot.

Cool name but just in case by the time you get to be a teenager there’s a really famous pariah walking around called Spike, just remember it’s not what they call you but what you make of the name.
And that copscotch is a pussy.

Woo hoo! With a name like Spike, he’s gonna be the king of the playground. Kneel Before Spike!
I won’t be able to tell if he looks like Ben or not until I see a pic of him in a black T-shirt.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts, received via Email and otherwise – mother and newborn are doing fine, but are unable to go online from the hospital which appears somehow to be stuck in 1997…
We expect her to be home in a couple days, give or take, and I’d go so far as to risk speculating that more pictures will be posted at that time. Probably.

you guys are taking pictures? won’t this hurt the “we found you in an aboriginal hut” scheme? glad to hear all is well. even more glad to hear from you, ben. good work. make with the pictures already. cuteness of this degree needs to be shared. c-gats to the proud pa-pa. you are now offically, not just obviously, more of a man than i’ll ever be.

Congrats on your new spawn! I mean, baby. With a name like Spike and parents like you two, he can’t help but grow up to be seriously twisted (and if he’s twisted and cute, have him look me up in 18 years). Best of luck to you in the sleepless nights ahead.

Now that’s what I call a strong opener. Congrats to you and Ben on your latest and greatest production. This little PrinCowboy will be a nice addition to the family because you now have a complete comedy show – opener, feature, and headliner. I’ll leave you to determine who gets what spot. Keep the blogs coming!

Thanks everyone. The little chap is punchably cute and solving world hunger as we speak. I don’t want to say he’s advanced but he’s only 6 days old and already knows the meaning of life.
I’ll post an update with pics soon. As soon as I can tear my eyes off him!
